Your immune system is a mighty fighting machine that tackles any of the nasty stuff the outside world throws at you (and even the terrible stuff you choose to throw into yourself). One of the major things the immune system fights against is free radicals.
They want to get into your body and stay there even though they don’t belong. Free radicals are molecules that will attack your cells and try to disrupt the calm order you’ve got going on in your body. The most known cause of free radicals is the food and drinks we absorb and how they are broken down in the body. Some foods and drinks cause more stress than others and in turn create free radicals.
More often than not, we also hear about how things like cigarettes, alcohol and saturated fats as major infiltrators attacking your system. Free radicals can cause your cells to deteriorate which can lead to a whole bunch of health problems.
We’ve likely all heard about how things like red wine, fruits and vegetables are great for fighting against invaders called free radicals because they’ve got antioxidants in them. But antioxidants might have their work cut out for them, once EMFs are introduced on the scene.
EMFs are a culprit that most people do not know about. EMFs can change the makeup of your fats and proteins and even your DNA according to a paper in the Journal of Microscopy and Ultrastructure. Free radicals are responsible for a host of diseases including, but not limited to cancer. Additionally, it is believed EMFs can stress your tissues and dramatically increase concentrations of free radicals in your body.
